After fiddling around with AWS for weeks, for a simple HTML site, we have realized that AWS is not for static HTML sites. We spent $7/day in SFTP fees and S3 will not display content you upload, it 'caches' content which is as of now an unresolvable problem. The best way to use AWS is to get an EC2 instance with Apache and run your own dedicated server, but that is way beyond our needs here. Also, for testing and development purposes, it's good to have a simple HTML host for various purposes. Subdomains and subdirectories can be setup quickly, the cost is low and headaches are low. We looked around and found that SiteGround happens to be the best one.
